Why do you want to serve?
Being a Toastmaster since 2008, handling many roles at club level, current Head of Arabic Clubs Affair, Chairman of DTAC2023, Chairman of Toastmasters Clubs Forum 2022 – Stand Brave, I got great experience that I want to share with all my colleagues Toastmasters to approach excellence and achieve the District’s mission.
Toastmaster Since
2008
Education:
– Bsc in Mechanical Engineering from University of Bahrain – 2004.
– Many certificates of job related in Engineering, Project Management, Leadership, Team building, Management,
Training and Mentoring, Auditing, Financing and others.
Toastmasters offices held and terms of service:
– A member of GPIC Toastmasters Club, since June 2008. Works for GPIC as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Engineering
Section. Held many leadership roles at club level in GPIC TM Club, as President, VPE, VPM and others.
– A member in Tamayouz Debate Toastmasters Club since September 2024.
– Head of Arabic Clubs Affair (HACA) for the term 2024 – 2025.
– Chairman of DTAC 2023, District 20 Toastmasters Annual Conference, in Bahrain during May 2023.
– Chairman of the Toastmasters Clubs Forum 2022 – Stand Brave, in Bahrain during May 2022.
Toastmasters honors and recognition:
– Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) since September 2020.
– CC, ACB, ACS, ASG, CL, ALB, ALS, L5..
Relevant work experience and how it relates to Toastmasters and your role as a District Leader:
Works for GPIC with 20 years of experience. Currently as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Engineering Section
in the Technical Services Department, handling Projects and Management of Change. Worked also in GPIC in
the Maintenance Department and in the Procurement and Warehousing Department too.
Conducted various lectures about public speaking and leadership skills for students and trainees at GPIC
Company, schools and University level and promoting Toastmasters to all inside GPIC and outside too.
What experience do you have in strategic planning?:
My experience in GPIC over the last 20 years in Engineering – Technical Services Department, the Maintenance Department
and in the Procurement and Warehousing Department and dealing closely with the other Departments along with outside
the company, all helped in building my experience and talents in stratig planing and many other skills too. In addition, being
a Toastmaster for more than 16 years handling many roles at club level, Head of Arabic Clubs Affair (HACA), Chairman of
DTAC 2023, and the Chairman of the Toastmasters Clubs Forum 2022 – Stand Brave, helped in empowering my statigic
planning skills.
What experience do you have in the area of finance?:
Working for many Departments in GPIC over the last 20 years and dealing directly with the Finance Department closely
and other Departments along with Auditing and Insurance Teams inside and outside the company, along with being a
Toastmaster for more than 16 years handling many roles at club level, HACA, Chairman of DTAC 2023, and the Chairman
of the Toastmasters Clubs Forum 2022 – Stand Brave, helped in empowering my skills in the area of Finance in Project
Management and also financing mega events such as the DTAC and other events that went extremely successful and
within budget and properly financial reporting of these events.
What experience do you have in developing procedures?:
My above mentioned working experience allowed me developing all types work related Standard Operating
Procedure, Standard Instruction and Guidelines as per Internal, Regional and International Standards and laws.
What lessons did you learn from previous leadership positions?:
I learned many lessons in terms of Team building, Project Management, Leadership, Management, Problem Solving,
Mentoring, Coaching, Training, Auditing, Financing and many others such as handling team responsibilities and leading
the team towards excellence.
Why do you want to serve as a District leader?:
With my experience in handling many roles at club level, being the current Head of Arabic Clubs Affair (HACA) and
previous Chairman of DTAC 2023, and the Chairman of the Toastmasters Clubs Forum 2022 – Stand Brave, I got
exposed to many challenges and great experience and opportunities that I want to share with my all colleagues
Toastmasters in the District to approach excellence and achieve the District’s mission.
In your opinion, what are the District mission’s major objectives and how would you work to achieve them?:
Our District’s mission is to build new clubs and support all clubs in achieving excellence and by being the next
Division I Director I will take the challenge of this new role and help our District in achieving the mission by
supporting the members and clubs under Division I’s Areas along with other Areas and Divisions in retaining the
current members and attract new members to join the Toastmaster and building new clubs and move toward
excellence.
Additional Information about yourself:
I am a sincere, organize and motivative person that has the passion in supporting and empowering others in achieving
their own goals and be the future leaders helping to approach the District’s mission. As I do strongly believe that the most
important skills and potentials of a successful leader, is to be able to communicate smoothly, thoroughly and
professionally with the surrounding people with a motivated and positive influence on them.
