Relevant work experience and how it relates to Toastmasters and your role as a District Leader:
Throughout my professional career, I have held several leadership posts, managing a team, handling big projects, achieving goals, meeting deadlines.
Currently, I’m co-Regional Director, Course Instructor & Certfied Coach at The McGuire Programme, MENA Region. Previously, I was Assistant Chief Medical Officer for Medication Management, Saudi German Hospital Cairo for 1 & half years. Before that, I was Pharmacy Manager at Saudi German Hospital, in Cairo for 3 years, & in Riyadh for 12 years.

What experience do you have in strategic planning?:
As Co-Regional Director of The McGuire Programme, MENA region, I’m in charge of managing the whole region; organizing & instructing online & in-person courses, marketing campaigns, providing support to all members in the region.
As a Pharmacy Manager at Saudi German Hospital, I was one of the members of the executive committee. I was in charge of preparing the annual operational plan.

What experience do you have in the area of finance?:
As Co-Regional Director of The McGuire Programme, MENA region, I’m in charge of managing the financial books.
As a Pharmacy Manager at Saudi German Hospital, I was in charge of the financial status & inventory reports of the Pharmacy Department.

What experience do you have in developing procedures?:
As Co-Regional Director of The McGuire Programme, MENA region, I’m in charge of developing the materials, marketing strategy & the overall progress of the program in the MENA region.
As a Pharmacy Manager at Saudi German Hospital, I was the Chairman of the Pharmacy & Therapeutic Committee. One of its roles & responsibilities is to review & update the policies & procedures that govern medication management throughout the hospital.

What lessons did you learn from previous leadership positions?:
I learnt team work, time management & sticking to deadlines, dedications, commitment, brainstorming with my team to reach a plan/decision, macro management, delegation, supervising & following up with my team members, organizing events, preparing for national & international accreditations, organizing trainings. marketing campaigns, organizing big events, instructing courses.

Why do you want to serve as a District leader?:
* To follow-up on the work I had done as Area 25 Director.
* Learn from my peers & leaders of the district to best serve the division. * To develop my leadership skills more.
* Help serve the clubs & areas achieve their goals. * Organize events.
* Help open more clubs by organizing open houses.

In your opinion, what are the District mission’s major objectives and how would you work to achieve them?:
Major Objectives: * Membership retention * Club growth by attracting more members * Opening new clubs
Plan to Achieve these Objectives: * Meeting with the current leaders of the Division & District to learn the best practices to be followed. * Organizing open houses.* Planning with the Area Directors to organize continuous trainings on club, area & division levels.
