Celebrating a purely entertaining morning of fun, friendship and fresh air
Desert Pioneers Toastmasters Club organised a “Walk and Talk with Toastmasters” event on Friday morning, the 10th of October 2025 at the Marina Crescent which was a tremendous success, thanks to the enthusiasm and participation of everyone involved with their families. The weather was perfect for a walk, and the energy from our group made the experience all the more enjoyable and memorable.
It was wonderful to see how everyone connected and shared great conversations with fellow Toastmasters in a relaxed, scenic outdoor setting. The conversations flowed naturally as we strolled together, sharing stories, laughter, and insights. Participants enjoyed a leisurely walk while engaging in lively discussions, sharing personal stories, exchanging ideas and building bonds beyond the club setting.
The event not only fostered stronger relationships within our Toastmasters community but also provided a platform to come together, have fun and share a hearty breakfast together at the end of the walk where members shared their joy and appreciation for such a refreshing initiative. Many commented on how comfortable and energized they felt, and several expressed interest in organizing similar gatherings in the future.
Sincere gratitude to Toastmasters Vishal Edward Khan, Mohamed Hussain, and Dr. Sahar Helmi for their dedicated efforts in coordinating the creative fun and games session, which added an extra layer of enjoyment to the event. Special thanks are also goes to TM Dinesh Kumar Pal for providing all the essential safety advice that ensured a safe and smooth experience for everyone. We appreciate the invaluable support extended by TM Abdullah Algouz.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to every participant, representing seven Toastmasters clubs and approximately eight nationalities. Your positive spirit, willingness to connect with one another, and unwavering support made this event truly special. We look forward to seeing the same enthusiasm and camaraderie at future outdoor events.
One of the core values highlighted during the “Walk and Talk with Toastmasters” event was the importance of having faith in the process of achievement. The gathering served as a reminder that, sometimes, the best way to reach our goals is to allow things to unfold naturally. By trusting that efforts, enthusiasm, and participation will pave the way, everything ultimately falls into place.
This principle was beautifully encapsulated in the words of Nelson Mandela: “Everything seems impossible until it’s done.” This quote resonated strongly with the participants, inspiring them to pursue their ambitions with optimism and patience. The event demonstrated that, with collective spirit and determination, anything can indeed be accomplished.
As the sun rose over the desert horizon, one thing became clear – the “Walk and Talk with Toastmasters” was more than just a walk, it was a walk towards stronger connections, shared smiles and a renewed sense of community spirit which embodies the essence of Toastmasters.
